Thanks Crip!  The news fader is great!  Love your theme.

I have been looking for the last couple of days for a way to embed the forum inside my website page, or basically wrap my header and my own left navigation around the forum. I've looked everywhere for a way to do this. Do you know within the personified theme how I could go about this? Or if you know where to steer me in the right direction.

I basically want the forum to look like this. I've just put the forum into an iframe. However iframe's mess up with linking to the forum because the url stays the same instead of showing the forum links.

It seems I could put my header in the top easy enough but I'm just trying to figure out how to put in the left navigation.  Or simply embedding  the forum into the HTML table I'm using for my site page.

This is my page example with using the iframe to just show how I would like the forum to look.  Any ideas or suggestions I would be deeply appreciative.  :-)

Well it looks good ,
but there are others Here that have done this & support Here that knows more about this Type thing Than I myself do , basically , I can make a Theme ...lol..

I suggest you post A New Support Topic in a Support Board for this Type of Help & or suggestions cuz I really cannot help you out with this myself -- just mention {Crip sent / suggested} you go to our fantastic support sections & ask the Pro's there cuz he dunno how.. :)  ... does that make any sence?

I have Split, Moved from Crip's theme topic and Renamed the subject of this topic.

The discussion has gone way beyond that of themes and is more to do with Bridge or Integration of a site.

Dianna, you may find this of interest:
How to Make a Page at a different URL Yet, Keeping the TPish effect.

I feel it is probably beyond the scope of what we support here at TP and you may be better off asking this at SMF.

JPDeni

The left navigation would be a piece of cake with TP. Just create some scriptbox type blocks and paste in the html that you have. You could do it all in one, probably, but it would be niftier to do it in several, especially since you already have it broken up.

In fact, you could create your entire site with SMF and TP. The whole thing. Dump the html pages and put the text into TP articles. It would end up looking just the same as it does now, but it would be easier to edit.

You don't have to do that, of course. You can just use TP to add your blocks to the forum and you'd be all set. I just have to do a little rah-rah for TP. :)

I did that, actually. When i started with TP, I had a forum and then a bunch of hmtl pages and a bunch of php pages. It took a while, but I schlepped everything into blocks and articles and came up with an integrated site.

They don't at this point, Crip, you're right. But I'm assuming that, since she posted here, she's considering it. Or, if she's not, I'm saying that she should. :-) Otherwise, the answer would be "We only support TinyPortal here. If you don't want to use it, then your best bet would be to go to the SMF site."

Crip

OK,
..sure i too am saying it .... sorry again JP...

No need to apologize. :) Just answering your question.

Dianna

Hey Crip, Zeten and JPDeni, you guys ROCK!  Thank you for the advice. You are right, I don't have TP installed. I think I had managed to get TP and SMF confused, one from the other.  I will look at where Zeten moved my topic and do some researchign on the SMF side to integrate. However, I'm totally getting and lovlovlovlov'ing JPDeni's suggestion/advice. I totally get what you're saying so I am going to check on installing TP and going that route. Sounds like I just need do a little more reading.  But this TOTALLY points me in the right direction!

Thank you so much for all your time to discuss this!  You all are super nice here on this board!

After I get the page setup, I also have to convert my clients existing "proboard" into the SMF board. Wish me luck now!  haha!  Should be good fun. LOL

I need to check TP out right now and check out all these mods!

Thanks again!
