So I have to ask this because it confuses the hell out of me..

TP .9.8 and SMF 117

Now, everything is working savea glitch I cant figure out.. left panel collapse works but for 2 blocks at the bottom.. one is php and one is html/bbc. The blocks in the left above it all collapse fine and those are php and  html/bbc as well. Right panel collapses completely. And its not really theme releated as its across every theme on site.

Ideas?

IchBin

Did you disable blocks to see if one is causing it? What other mods you have intalled? Link to your site?

How have you set the blocks ?  If you have one or several to NOT be allowed to collapse, they will show no matter what
Check the block options for the blocks that stay visible and see if you forgot to check the box about the collapse function

I was under the impression that block collapse setting was for upshrink onn the block itself. This should not be a factor when hidin the whole of the left colum.

Well, if you dont want to sheck the options i pointed you to, then live with your impression  :2funny:

This is one of the options for blocks when you create one

QuoteAllow block to collapse
Do not allow block to collapse

HarshReality

I dont think I made any indication I was ignoring the suggestion. As a point of action I set each block to allow collapse.. guess what... I was correct that setting is for the block not the colum (go figure that one) The option for disabling the blocks however did yield some reults. One block is the scrolling arcade champs block and the other is for the cluster map. I will disable them for the time being until I can resolve the issue.. Thanks Ich for the reminder about basic troubleshooting.... as for the other. Id suggest knowing a code before you claim to be able to support it..

Oh.. that was just a suggestion. you can of course choose to ignore it.

Oh, i think we made the day didnt we ;)  ;D

Why i asked you to check the options is simple. Beta software and bugs.
If it were bugs ( that the option i pointed you to made things work ) we would have found another block option bug.
As A betatester ( you ) you are actually helping US find things that dont work properly, and our work is to find them and narrow down issues.

So thats why i asked you to check some simple things, and if that offended you, then im sorry...

ok guys, G6... ;)

from what im reading and it involves one of my clients sites,

he is referring to the "panel" and not the block.. am i right Harsh??

and you have checked the settings on both blocks that are sticking.. have you looked into the coding on each one?? maybe that is whats causing the sticking.. just a idea..  :P

HarshReality

At what point is .9.8 currently beta? And yes I think I specified left side panel. Anyway issue dealt with.

SmokyBlue

mmm call me gumby harsh, but how did you fix it??  :D
