Problem: Where are settings? Boards dissapeared after installation

I've been looking for a while, but I can't find TinyPortal specific settings. Also, my message boards have gone. (Says "There are no articles in this section yet." whe I try to visit the main boards)

Everything installed just fine, but I have no boxes and my forums have gone.

You're probably using a theme that doesn't support Tinyportal. Go into your profile and reset your them to the default one.

Try to do a index.php?action=forum for the boards, and index.php?action=tpadmin for the the TP settings.

Now , you are only seeing the frontpage of TP currently, since index.php go to that instead of the forum index - as before. What you need to do is modify the index.template.php of the theme you are running to actually show blocks and the extra buttons for "forum" and "tpadmin".

If you do have default theme intact, just use index.php?theme=1 to see TP in all its glory. Then look at default theme's index.tempalte.php too see what changes need to be done.

Also, it may be a derivitave from my current problem, but some of the TP images aren't showing up. They are linking to www.domain.com/Themes/images/TPmodify.gif for example. I have no TP images in the theme folder.

Should I have the ApothRTE folder in the main directory? I'm thinking I installed something wrong with the package installer.

It works with the default theme, although I want to use Helios. I'm looking into manually figuring it out.

Also, I've been patching up my website, had to dabble in the database to fix things, copy files etc. It's hard to transfer SMF from one subdomain to the main domain. I liked TinyPortal and SMF so much I made it my main website.

Helios is available as a modified theme to work with TP. Look for the forum called "TP Themes".
