What is this block and what is it used for? I dont seem to be able to do anything with it.

JPDeni

It has links to admin functions which you are allowed to use, such as Manage blocks, Manage articles, Manage downloads.

npereira

for some reason, it does not appear for me... The block is empty.

You could Please read the Posting Guidelines.html which would give us a bit more information to help you out. Maybe it's a bug, but we can't know unless we have info about your setup.

Also, How do you show a specific news item on a news block with the script suggested..:

   global $context, $settings;

   // Show a random news item? (or you could pick one from news_lines...)
   if (!empty($settings['enable_news']))
      echo '
   <div class="tp_newsblock">', $context['random_news_line'], '</div>';

npereira

that link keeps bringing me back here....

G6Cad

Yes, and what does she ask of you to post in that post ?

We cant help if your not reading what we ask of you.

npereira

Well I did update my signature with the relevant info requested on that posting guideline... Not sure what I'm missing here...

G6Cad

Some of us have signatures set to hide ( like i have  ) so it dont show for me,

And we solve issue nr one before we jump to nr 2 that will have to have it's own topic so we keep things separate. A lot easier to keep track of topics and support that way :)
