this page uses statsbox. it's not the same as the old onlinebox.

Well, its not like it would be hard to write the code to make that a block code snippet.

There are block code snippets that will do what you want.  Try doing a search in block code snippets for "online" or maybe even "Whos Online".  There are others as well.  Ichbin recently did a block code that actually shows everybody's Avatar and the time to show is settable in the code.

For instance, on my site I use a regular "Who's Online" snippet in a top panel block and the one with the Avatars in a bottom block.  If you want to see what they look like on my site here's the link ---> http://talesofthehavenexpanse.com/SMF-1/index.php

If you check it sometime other than the middle of the night, you should see somebody on my forum, but even if nobody is on there you will still be able to see what the one with Avatars at the bottom looks like because I have it set for 24 hours.

Like I said, one of them is in a top block and the other one with Avatars is all the way at the bottom of the front page.  Both of these snippets are here in block code snippets.

Ah, yes.  These problems with articles in beta 2 have been confirmed and are being corrected right now for the next release of TP.  I had thought you were asking for a fix, something we can not give you until the next release.
