So i realize that TP is now a mod of SMF and therefore must stay in the forum index...i can deal with that using a redirect....

my question now is i can't figure out how to have a separate front page and a separate forum page...

meaning....I can configure the front page of TP to look how i want with news, articles, post counts, etc....but i would like to be able to add a button or link to display the SMF forum as if it was a standalone installation....

going to /forum/index.php brings up the TP home page...is there another file that can be called that just looks like a standard SMF install...

does that make sense??

if not, i can try and clarify!

/forum/index.php?action=forum

If you had the default theme selected when you installed TP, there should be a button in the menu to go to the forum.

ffingers

thank you very much....

i had a different theme installed thus probably all the confusion...thanks...

Further to this, how can I have my frontpage show my frontpanel so I can have some intro text etc and also have the forum index show underneath this?

I have tried the Forum/SSI functions (Top Boards) but this doesn't look as good as the standard index.
