Just wondering - why start new topic, instead of using the shoutbox? I came across some members simply use the shoutbox to ask questions, but was told to discuss in forum, or start a new topic.
Thanks.

A - it is the rules
B - that is what a forum is for not a shoutbox
C - a shout box is for idle chatter and hellos
D - because IT IS THE RULES

Messages in the shoutbox are not searchable later on. Someone might come along later with the same problem and be able to use the search function to get their answer. Also, not all of us read the shoutbox, so your question could very well not be seen.

I get the idea. Thanks, Jokey Smurf & JPDeni.

LOL! I just read my post! I was a little harsh I think, (who me?? LOL!! :2funny: )
But JP is right on the money with her explanation, as this is a help and information forum it is appreciated that all questions are asked in the forum portion so they can be referenced if need be later. (and it is the rule LOL!)
:D

With a username like yours, do you need to try?

[edit] Well I suppose you do.. seeing as I just realised who you are.
