Front page block with feature article

Hi all,

Using SMF 1.1.7, TP 0.9.8, and DS Natural theme.

I'm hoping this is simple (as I am a simple guy).

What I'm trying to do is have a front page block (which is "one article"), show first at the top, followed by the "featured article" right below it. The first article is an intro to the site, and the "featured article" is an actual article. The concept being that as new articles are developed, they easily be designated as the "featured article", with the old articles still being available from a category menu in a side block. Sounds simple - but I just can't get it to work.  :-\

I have under settings:"Featured article and front page blocks", then "Frontblocks are added first", but all I see is the "featured article. I've tweeked the settings, but I can never seem to get the result I'm after.

Is this a bug or am I as dumb as my wife says I am.  :uglystupid2:

You can only have one featured article as featured is always on the very top posission.

First, thanks for the quick response.

Does this mean its a "bug" of some kind?

The reason I ask is that in the "settings" for "Front Page"
there is an option to click for "What to show on front page:", and you can select "Featured article and front page blocks" which implies you can have them TOGETHER on the front page.

Still a bit confused....

Yes, it's a bug in TP v1.0.5 and 1.0.6, this will be fixed in the next release

OOooooh, okay  :)

So, the next question is if the next release of TP will run with SMF 1.1.7? (hopefully my theme will too!) :-\

I just dread the thought ot having to re-do a bunch of stuff when the release comes out. Any idea when?

(Ok, so now I'm excited and anxious - and my wife keeps slapping me, its time for that afternoon drinkie)
