Visble option for article category

I just upgrade from TP 0.9.8 to 1.0.5 beta 1. I wanted to have the new feature "visible options" for blocks.
I tried to make a block visible on a article category. By some reason this does not work. The block does not show up at all. But if I make the block visible on the separate pages which are in the category, it works as designed...

Is this a bug in TP or in me?

Bug, and if you look in the bugtracker, you will see that there are numerous of bugs regarding the articles and articlesystem.
No direct fixes for them until the next release of tp im affraid
