can anyone help

can some one help me please. i have smf 1.1.4 and ive downloaded the correct tiny-portal files for my install.

i cant upload it through smf for some reason, to manually install it do i need to upload it to the packages folder or the root smf folder.

please some one help me quick :tickedoff:

I needed to know your setup so i can point to the correct guides we have.

You place the FILES, not the zip folder, you need to extract the zip and then upload to the SAME folder as you have the SMF installed to

Then you can read and follow  this

And as a side note, i really need to ask you upgrade your SMF 1.1.4 to 1.1.7 instead as there are numerous bugs and security issues thats been fixed between the versions

thanks G6. i have tried countless times to upgrade my version to a better one, it comes up saying that the files i need to have writable arent and it doesnt tell me which ones to make writable.

can you tell me what files i need to make writable to upgrade please.

You need to go to SMF to get the answers on that one
But a manuall upgrade with their big upgrade package should work just good, if it dont, you really need to contact your host and ask them to change the permissions for you
