What is Internal Number?

I installed the TP v1.0.6 beta 2 I saw the notice about using the internal number (Internal number 1.063) I did a check of dates and made a guess that I had the updated version. At any rate I don't know what an internal number is or where to find it to check. The results of my TP Beta upgrade are mixed and I'm wondering if I got the bad version. My block editing functions are just not there among other absences. How can I check the internal number of the  TP v1.0.6 beta 2 that I have installed?
