Creating a navigation menu

I've been setting up categories and sub-categories and things are looking good. However, I have a question. If you click here you'll see what I mean:

The Times (sub category of "Newspaper Articles"

Now if you click here "Newspaper Articles" you get an error - what I'd like displayed here is a list of sub categories in this parent category. Can this be done?

Do you have 'Newspaper Articles' assigned to a category?
It will need to be so before your article will show.

Newspaper Articles is one of the main heading categories.

ps: as sub categories of "Newspaper Articles' I have the following:

- Daily Mail
- The Times

These sub categories then have articles which were originally printed in them.

When a user clicks on Newspaper Articles I'd like a list of newspapers and related articles.
What am I doing wrong?

Maybe we're not both talking about the same thing so first this question:
Is "Newspaper Articles" actually an article or is it a category?
If it is an article then it will need to be in a category in order for it to be visible.

Going back along the link tree and clicking on ":Newspaper Articles" gives the error: "No articles was found in this category."

I'm having to go back to my TP098 test forum to look at this issue so it's taking a while.

Do you have any actual articles in the Newspaper Articles category?
It will take me a while to research this because my test sites main category has articles in that category as well as in the sub-categories but I'm thinking that if you don't have any articles directly in the Newspaper Articles category that's why it shows the message that you are seeing.

Yes, I have the following articles:

Newspaper Articles > Daily Mail > The men who grow rich on bloodlust

Newspaper Articles > The Times > Nasty squad jumps in on hunt for video pirates

Looking at your navigation it appears that both of those articles are in sub-categories (Daily Mail & The Times) which is not the same as having them in the Newspaper Articles category.

Maybe you could try adding a test article directly to that main category to see what the result would be, I'll try it on my test site but it will take some time to move the articles that are currently in there.

It seems the sub-categories doesn't work. I'll just make them all newspaper articles so they are listed.
