Need help to change size

I have another question,  i dont want mess anything in my forum, i need to be sure what im doing.
I want change portal and board size, what i have to do?
I have like this:

And i want change to like is:

Both of those boards look the same to me. What is the difference?

This one http://teamcp.com/forum/index.php have a resolution close to 1024x768 and i see only a block in midle of my screen.
This one http://eternalchampions.org/ have a resolution close to 1280x960 and i see in full screen.
I want to get a high resolution in mine to, cause im using a 22" screen and i only see a block in midle of my screen.

Doesent that theme have width settings in the admin/configuration/current theme/

The page in the second link is too wide for a 17 inch monitor with the resolution set to 1024x768, so you may wish to reconsider changing to that size.
