Frontpage blocks not showing up

Guys, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Frontpage blocks are not displaying. As far as I can tell, I've done everything right.

Settings and Frontpage > Front Page tab > What to display on front page: ("Featured article and front page blocks")
Settings and Frontpage > Front Page tab > Visual options for frontpage: (ALL ARE CHECKED)
Panels and Blocks > Frontpage tab > Blocks tab > Activate: ACTIVATED (GREEN)
Panels and Blocks > All Blocks tab > Go to Visible Options tab > Choose where the block should appear: (FRONTPAGE IS CHECKED, FORUM IS CHECKED)
Panels and Blocks > Frontpage tab > Edit Block tab > membergoups that will be able to see this block: (ALL ARE CHECKED)


More info:

If I set "What to display on front page" to "Front page blocks", I can see the block, but my featured article is gone (obviously)
If I set "What to display on front page" to "Featured Article and front page blocks", the block disappears.

Here's my setup:
SMF 1.1.5
TP 1.052 beta 1
Auto Embed Video/Audio Clips 3.1.2

TP is so convoluted when adding new information... so many screens to jump around to just to get a simple block to show up.

Oh, also, is there any way to get the title of the featured article to NOT become the HTML TITLE tag of the page?

If anyone is out there, please help! I'm stuck and I don't know what to do.

It seems that tinyportal is broken, and it's the major reason I switched to smf.

You aren't alone.  I have the same issue on two of my forums.  I used to have blocks and forum posts showing, and now I cannot get them together.

Only forum-posts: shows only forum posts in the articles layout of my choice. no blocks.

Forum-posts and articles - sorted on date: shows both, no blocks.

Only articles: shows "page [1]", and no blocks.

Featured article with frontpane:  Shows "An Error Has Occurred!
The article isn't active, hasn't been approved yet, or simply does not exist.", with blocks.

Frontpanel: shows nothing.

TP Module:  shows error message for whole site "Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/bfeo/public_html/forum/Sources/TPortal.php on line 1716"

It's nothing wrong with your settings, but with bugs, will be fixed for the next beta release though.
When is the next version of TP coming out?

Is there any way to manually correct it?  Or just close down the front page?

Turn off the frontpage block option and use articles and place them into categories instead, for some people that work, but not all

Choose where the block should appear: (FRONTPAGE IS CHECKED, FORUM IS CHECKED)

maybe you can uncheck the forum option, since the frontpage block is usually used for the..... frontpage

I hope this helps... otherwise... the only option is what G6 told ya or what for the new release...
