Searched and searched the forums and haven't been able to find an answer for this (although it's probably right there and I just missed it).

I'm trying to use the  TP frontpage as my default for my forums and have it all set up and looking good.  However, whenever someone logs into the forums or registers a new account it is performing an action=forum which is completely bypassing the frontpage and going directly to the forums.  What step am I missing as far as getting the site to stop this and go to the frontpage instead?

Thanks for the help and forgive my noobishness.

I think you have at the frontpage settings select Go directly to forum index.
This is the reason why.

Nope, I have it set:  Forum-posts and articles - sorted on date

And your english is pretty good.  :)

Not exactly what he said.
Your frontpage settings.
Set your forum to "go directly to forum"

TinyPortal Doc's Board

The settings and guide is located at the link i provided

Sorry to butt in, you don't want it set to go directly to forum, if you want to keep TP as the home page.

This option will make TP the home page and not the forum:
[  ] Featured article and front page blocks

That was what i mean.
All options of them can make TP to Home page, only "Go directly to forum index" makes TP to a Forums border without a front page.

Yes.  I've had TP installed for a long time and everything works great.  But I decided I wanted the site to go to the frontpage so I could promote some new things a little more than I was before.  But whenever someone logs into the site or registers a new account they get index.php?action=forum which completely bypasses the frontpage.  If they hit the home button it takes them to the frontpage just fine, but that's not really what I wanted.

Hope that makes sense.

G6:  Not sure what other setting there is to change.  I looked at the link you provided and it has what I've already done (as far as I can tell).  I've gone to Admin>Tiny Portal>Settings and Frontpage>Frontpage and the only options I see are:

What to display on front page--  Only forum-posts
                                                         forum-posts and articles
                                                         only articles
featured articles and front page blocks
                                                         front page blocks
                                                         go directly to forum index.

I picked "forum-posts and articles" and that works great if you click home, but doesn't work if you login or register.
If I pick "go directly to forum index" it goes to my forum index, which is what I had it set at before I wanted to use the frontpage.

Again, hope that makes sense.

ZTN:  Yes, that is correct.  I don't want it to go directly to the forum, I want it to go to my frontpage.  But clicking the "forum posts and articles" option (which is the option I wanted) doesn't seem to stop it from performing an action=forum whenever someone logs in or registers.
