HTML in articles

I have been trying to use html tables in an article, in fact a table with two more tables within it. I've had a lot of problems. The code 'leaks' from the article and messes up the portal as well as not displaying properly in the article.

You have to watch out, not using absolute widths or expanding widths with "nowrap" attributes. If you construct the tables to expand and respect the container they are in, you should have no problem. Try to look at the source too, in addition to the normal view("toggle view" on the editor).

In any case the articles should get a scrollbar instead..but if not, safest bet is to make sure of the above.

I do know the editor have some issues with tables and inline CSS, I am  still figuring out why...

Thanks Bloc, I was setting tables and cells to absolute widths, because I didn't want it to expand.

I am trying to maintain the relative alignment of blocks of text in the two nested tables for comparison of an 'old' set, with a 'new' set that overlaps several 'old' categories.

I'll go back to fiddling
