FF3 isn't bad of course..but it have issues still. I am running exactly the same bookmarks and extensions on FF2, which hasn't crashed once on Google Analytics pages(with much ajax/javascript running), FF3 crashed frequently if I moved too fast on the page lol. :)

Go figure, a browser that can't keep up with the web geeks like Bloc. :P

Who needs bookmarks with awesomebar? ;) I didn't use bookmarks in FF2, and have even less need to now. If you don't like what it shows you, just spend a little time training it and it will learn which URLs to associate with which queries.

I tried that add-on out. I didn't see how it could possibly replace bookmarks. But its a cool idea for the frequently visited URL's.

Replacing bookmarks with that bar? no, no, cannot be done. I need to see what I got, thank you, not having to remember every query/string/keyword :P Besides, I love the option of opening a set of sites with just one click.

Another thing I noticed with FF3 lately(I do have it still, but with another profile to not upset FF2) is that it behaves a bit erratic on passwords. I got -a lot- of saved passwords for different sites and it seems that one or 2 of those javascript/ajax crashes also corrupts or resets passwords..so i am down to remembering those again :P.

FF3 def. needs a bit more work before it get to be my number 1 browser lol. :)

..incidentally, now that the new guy on the block is out(soon) it will be interesting how FF developers reponds to this and its possible success.

I'm totally loving 3. Wouldn't touch 2 with a barge pole these days. Only problem I've noticed is that 3 hangs up on scroll occasionally, but that's a small price to pay for the improved speed and features. I'm running XP by the way.

Awesomebar isn't an addon, it's the default bar.

bloc, why do you need to see? You don't need to remember query strings or keywords, just page titles.

Though multiple sites is something you can only do with bookmarks yes...

I'm still waiting for FF4 though. Tamarin :)

Its kind of pointless to go remember 150-200 bookmarked titles.. ;D I use many reference bookmarks, things I like to re-visit at a later time etc.

Yes, its the new default bar that blows. I instantly installed the oldbar extension. They way they have it now, you can hardly read the contents when all of a sudden a load of **** pops up in your address bar.

I just started with FF2 this week. :) I'd been using IE because I couldn't figure out how to do some things with FF. Finally I got them worked out and FF2 is working very well for me. The only thing I don't like is when the location bar turns yellow when I go to a secure site. The color is very distracting. Is there a way to get rid of that? I understand that the "awesome bar" doesn't turn yellow, which is the only change that I've read about with FF3 that I like.
