Looking at your settings you seem to have a lot of mixed stuff. For instance, you have the right panel set to "not" display while in the forum. Yet in "Your user Stuff" block, its set to show in the forum. How about you give me a list of what she is supposed to see on each page and I'll check what I see with her account, and then check the settings.

Hmmm, you've got me there. I figured I didn't want a lot of the stuff cluttering the Forum. I dunno... what do  you recommend? Should I have a lot of the TP stuff on all the pages? I thought not. And you mean EACH PAGE of the whole site :-O She's missing the stuff in her section (Frontier) while my other person is missing the stuff in his (Civil War). I know they both worked before I updated to 1.05...

I guess I should ask you how you think I should set all this stuff. I don't want guests to look at some things, instead having them register and log-in. However, on the other hand, I want visitors to be able to look around (and search engines) so don't wish to lock out too much. What are your suggestions?

IchBin

Its your preference not mine lol. For now, how about you tell me what she should see on her pages. So that I can go through and check what she is/isn't seeing, and then check the settings.

Frontier menu on left, w/ stats underneath. Articles in the center and I haven't added any ads to those pages yet, otherwise there'd be an ad box w/ button ads, etc. on the right. If you look in the articles manager, you'll see all the Frontier articles. Each is pretty much it's own page. I'm sure there's a better way to lay it all out, but I'm just building this out of my old site and later might fool w/ it more. Hell, I need a special mod that I don't even have time to make dummies of to show what I need :-0 THEN it will work really well. Just don't have that yet. I digress. Sorry.

thinking of this... I use "ausgezeichnet" as a place to give out awards... don't want all who have awards to be able to edit all stuff, but some (most) of them are also Global Mods... Did I do this wrong?

IchBin

Giving awards by using a member group is ok. Just make sure that member group doesn't have all the edit permissions that you don't want. I will probably take a look at this when I get home in a couple of hours. Getting busy here at work.

Nothin' so far huh? I could send you the other guy on my team's e-mail... he can't see the content on pages either. Both could before TP 1.05 was installed!? :idiot2:

bleh, sorry about that. For some reason I hadn't checked back on this post and I was thinking you were trying stuff out. I'll try to take another look soon.

--edit--

Ok, so if you want the Frontier menu and stats on the left take a look at the block permissions for stats. You only have the block set to show for ungrouped members and guests. You set the right permissions on things and it will show for them. :) And then, if you look at the Frontier category permissions, you'll also notice that you only have guests and ungrouped members set to allow to view it. I'll let you make the changes and check for yourself.

One more thing I am suddenly seeing, on certain articles, like the main one (and in some articles I am using as menus), it put's the category title next to it or above... WHERE is that control? That's one thing that get's me... TP is awesome, but sometimes it's SOOOO hard to find the tiny little control check box :-0 Oh well, still damn good!

Edit:
Here's a screen shot of what it's doing. I KNOW there's away to turn that off, but I just can't find it :-0

IchBin

Well I'm not sure exactly what your'e talking about, but look in the article display options. There are a lot of options on what you want to display for the article. Go in and edit the article, and then click the link to look at the display options.
