Hi,

Is it possible to add a horizontal scrollbar in the frontpage blocks in the posts? I ask this because some of the posts are too long and will make IE or firefox display the text outside of the block which doesnt look nice.

If you take a look here http://www.engineeringserver.com/forum/index.php and scroll a bit below you will see a post that doesn't fit in the block.

Thanks for the help  O0

Have you tried putting the code in your article/block into a div with the style set to scroll?

I have no idea what code? There isn't anything that i can set in the Front page blocks afaik except for the layout type and Articles layout for the front page, the rest doesn't seem relevant.

I dont put any code on my frontpage blocks, afaik they are the default blocks which come from the TP mod. The blocks are just fetching the content on the forums and i want to have a horizontal sidebar in case the post is too long to be displayed as you can see when you visit the index page of my site.

Ken.

Just in looking at your site it appears that you are posting code strings without placing the code inside of code tags and that looks to be the only content that is breaking out of your display except for the videos that are toward the bottom of your page and they are to wide for the blocks that they are in as well.

Ok, lets get some things straight here. What you are describing is frontpage news. They are not blocks. Blocks are created in TinyPortals admin page. For instance, all the boxes on the left of your site are blocks. The terminology here is very important for you to get your point across. The boxes in the middle are called forums posts as frontpage news.

If you want your frontpage news to scroll when it has overflow, you'll have to try what ken said first. OR, you can alter the tpstyle.css file in the .tp_articletext class to have overflow: auto; in it.

Thanks.

When i go to the admin panel -> Settings and Frontpage -> Front page i see this:
Normal, frontblocks are shown alone
Frontblocks are added first
Frontblocks are added last
(and other settings ofcourse) so i thought they were frontpage blocks.

Yes, but what do you have set for display on the frontpage? Only forum-posts ,Forum-posts and articles - sorted on date, Only articles, Featured article with frontpanel, Frontpanel, Go directly to forum index ?
