I have a 4th Column! And can't get rid of it?

When I did the upgrade to the latest TP version I ended up with a 4th column. See:
http://www.ourweddingproposal.com

When I turn the right blocks off the page looks normal again but then i obviously don't have my right column blocks...  Can anyone tell me which file I need to change?  I had a friend move the "User Tools" section of my site from the bottom of the right column to the top and he changed some of the code within my site. I looked in the index.template.php file and I've found the code to "add a link" within the "User Tools" section but I think I might be in the wrong section to tell it where to show on the page.  Is this the code that I need to change? Notice i added an ecard link to the User Tools section.  Is there an easier way to change what is shown in this user tools section or do i need to hard code it?

// Show the menu up top.  Something like [home] [help] [profile] [logout]...
function template_menu()
{
  global $context, $settings, $options, $scripturl, $txt;

  echo '<span style="font-size: 18px;letter-spacing:-1px;color: #b0b0b0;"><b>'.$txt['SIMPLE_Tools2'].'</b></span><span style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;letter-spacing:-1px; color: #000000;"><b>'.$txt['SIMPLE_Tools'].'</b></span><br />';

  // Show the [home] and [help] buttons.
  echo '<hr /><span class="bnormaltext">
  <a href="', $scripturl, '">' . $txt[103]. '</a><br />
  <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=forum">' . $txt['tp-forum']. '</a><br />
  <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=help">'. $txt[119]. '</a><br />';

  // OWP Store link, Amazon store link.
echo ' <a target="_blank" href="http://ourweddingproposal.com/index.php?page=OWP-Store">OWP Store </a><br />';
// OWP ECARD link, send an ecard, eCard as a guest etc...
echo ' <a target="_blank" href="http://cards.123greetings.com/cgi-bin/cards/sendcard.pl?log=owpdanpooler">eCards </a><br />';

// How about the [search] button?
  if ($context['allow_search'])
echo '
  <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=search">'. $txt[182]. '</a><br />';

  // Is the user allowed to administrate at all? ([admin])
  if ($context['allow_admin'])
echo '
  <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=admin">'. $txt[2]. '</a><br />';

  // Edit Profile... [profile]
  if ($context['allow_edit_profile'])
echo '
  <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=profile">'. $txt[467]. '</a><br />';

  // The [calendar]!
  if ($context['allow_calendar'])
echo '
  <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=calendar">'. $txt['calendar24']. '</a><br />';
echo '<a href="', $scripturl, '?action=mlist">', $txt[332], '</a><br />
  <a href="' , $scripturl , '?action=stats">' , $txt['SIMPLE_stats'] , '</a><br />';
  // If the user is a guest, show [login] and [register] buttons.
  if ($context['user']['is_guest'])
  {
echo '
  <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=login">'. $txt[34]. '</a><br />
  <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=register">'. $txt[97]. '</a><br />';
  }
  // Otherwise, they might want to [logout]...
  else
echo '
  <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=logout;sesc=', $context['session_id'], '">'.$txt[108]. '</a><br />';

}

Please take a look at my site http://www.ourweddingproposal.com to see what i mean. The right column is now its own column and it should be lined up with the right blocks.

You are using the simplicity theme. Which was made only to work with TP 0.9.8. With TP 1.x it ignores the column code that TP 0.9.8 used.

I'm not exactly sure how I made it work but i found the hard code my friend added, removed it, then added it again as a block.  Works now.. .trial and error!!!
