Article Directly from Post

There would not happen to be any way to make a post into an article simply by clicking a button or something to that effect. What I mean is - say there is a post that I want to make into an article. Is there anyway as an admin, I can immediately say "Create an Article from this post" without having to recreate it in the articles section? If not, that would be a cool feature!

No, but you can do it with just a few steps. Highlight the post, copy it, create a new article and paste the text into the article. You can even add all the bbc from the post if you're using the newest version of TP.

So I am lazy sometimes - give me a break! that is the way I am doing it now, but just thought there might be a way to do it differently (actually, if I can pawn it off on the site owner, he is the one that asked to be able to do this! I was fine with it the way it is. One question about that though - if I did that, wouldn't it then show me as the author? I need it to show the real author for obvious reasons.

Yes, you will be the author as you are the one that creates the article.
You can always write the real authors name in the bottom of the article and dissable the "Show author" in the article settings.
