hello,

when I try to edit or create an HTML article in TP, it doesn't display the article.  what I mean is instead of displaying my article in the "I-frame" it just displays my forum, now I know that doesn't make any sense, so here's a screen shot for you...

as far as I can tell, it only does this with HTML, when I try to create a PHP or BBC article, it works as normal, please help

Did you search for that issue ?  I think it have been posted a lot of times, so it should not be to hard to find any info on it ;)

Also, please read the posting guide im linking to and we take it from there.

Please read the Posting Guidelines

yea, I know the guidelines and thats why I don't post much is because I can normally find what I'm looking for and actualy I did search, but I couldn't find anything specific to my question.

I used the subject of this thread as a search string, so if anyone can help or can post a link to what I'm looking for it would be much appreciated

The reason we ask people to list the mods they have installed is that often problems that arise are really conflicts between the mods and TP. It's very likely that we've come across those conflicts before and can point you either to a solution or tell you to uninstall the mod because it's incompatible.

This time, I was able to figure out one of your mods -- the one that is causing your problem -- based on your image. Fortunately, you did include the URL in your image, which tells me you've got the SEO (or "Fancy URLs" or whatever it's called) mod installed. That's what's causing your problem.

Here's the solution: http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=24158

thanx for the reply JPDeni,

I don't think that fix will help me out because aside from TP, the only other mod I have installed is a custom profile field mod, see...

http://www.lifelinefellowship.org/image/Image3.png

and I don't think that's it because the HTML article was working fine and for some reason, this is what I'm getting now.

do you think it could possibley do with permissions, maybe I have a file or files that isn't writable that should be?

Did you actually try the fix, or did you just assume? That fix is going to be added to the next beta for the reason of the problem that you are having.

SamoanOnion

I was trying the fix even though I posted that, it was my "just in case" post, but yes I did try it and it did work

much thanx again JPDeni, it is very much appreciated
