Hi,
I'm totally beginner :idiot2:, can someone let me know how to setup the rss feeds box?namely I'd like the british soccer results..... :uglystupid2:

Thank you

IchBin

when you create the block type choose rss. Then after you click the save button you will see a rss link text box that you need to enter your rss link in. Then just click save again.

What does the RSS link look like. Never used this before, so I wouldn't even begin to know what it looks like.

When you create a new block you will see a series of radio buttons - php, html, ssi, rss, et-ceteras..

there is where you enter your chosen RSS feed.

Thanks all, I made it work, it's great!!!!! next how do I make it scroll (like the shoutbox)????? Thank you G

bloc

Scrolling is not a feature. You would have to change the template file to accomplish that.

oops i keep getting this message if it helps any?

2: fopen(): URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration
File: /var/www/virtual/***************/htdocs/smf/Sources/TPortal.php
Line: 1219

I went to look at line 1219 and this is what it says

$fp = fopen($backend, "r");

Still getting that error :(

IchBin

In the top or bottom part?

You just choose rss as the block type then hit send. After that you will see a box under your rss block, which is where you put the link to the xml file for the rss feed.
