Right, as I am a novice at most forum related stuff, I decided it might be wise for me to uninstall the beta of TP until it was a little more stable......so, on uninstall it failed on 3 files (index.php index.template and Subs.php) anyhoo...in my infinite wisdom  :idiot2: I thought i would uninstall and then go in and manually change these files.

My problem is this...I can no longer access admin! I have this error

Table 'psp1stop_smfnew.modules' doesn't exist
File: /home/psp1stop/public_html/smf115/Sources/TPSubs.php
Line: 63

Any idea how I rectify?  Also, I cannot find reference to any of these files in the tp_install.php or the manual_tp_install.php file in the zip ??

Soorry for being such a novice

Did you read the part that states that TP 1.0.5 is very difficult to revert back to previous versions, TP 0.9.8 for example?
If you didn't, I strongly suggest you read the install/upgrade documentation again... There are topics that discuss this and you will have to search to find them as I don't know where they all are.

Check out the Manual Install guide from the link above and follow it in reverse. You'll have to either edit the files in cPanel, if you have one and it allows editing on the fly.. or download each file via FTP, edit and remove the code, save and re-upload... But, the Database is the problem when reverting back to earlier versions.

Thank you very much for the reply.....I must confess (as you will have already guessed) that i didnt fully read the install....did my typical scan over so its my own fault.

Thankfully apart from adding some mods I hadnt done anything to the forum so it is easy to just start afresh......at least Ive learnt to read the documents fully in future lol

Well, having read some of the replies after a search.. There is no way currently to downgrade to an earlier version:

>> Search Results <<

So, you have 2 choices.. Stick with TP 1.0.5, or completely install a new forum and start again.

thanks for the replies....Ive chosen to start again using the 098 version for now

So perhaps from ZTN's reply you may also learn how important it is to do backup? :)
