AdvShoutbox Issue (8: Undefined index: TPAdvShout_opt_2)

Greetings!

I am running SMF 1.1.5 and TinyPortal v1.0.5 beta 1, skinned using a modified FS Grey Theme that I downloaded here.

First and foremost, I believe thanks are in order to Bloc and his team.  What an amazing product.

I opted to use the advShoutbox, as I need the shoutbox to be 260px wide, and I couldn't figure out how to expand the regular shoutbox.  When I put the AdvShoutbox in, all looked good, but it won't let me save the width setting.  When I bring up the Advshout settings, under the Adv-Shoutbox Block Settings section, none of the options will save.  I select "compact" then 260 px, then I hit save, and it returns me to the same screen, but without any options saved.

Each time I do that I also get the following error in the Forum Error Log:

... and it is at this point that I am stumped.  It appears that something is awry in the database, but I'm not sure what, nor how to fix it.  Any ideas?

Well I did some digging.

I opened up phpMyAdmin , opened up my database, and looked in the smf_settings table.  That query above leads me to believe that there should be some sort of entry for TPAdvShout_opt_ but I see no entry whatsoever.

... now to search around the forums to see if I can't find instructions for a manual install of the adv shoutbox, and try to create the database entries it instructs to create...

Thank you for your response, however that did not fix the issue.  After reading the entire thread you linked I thought I had done everything asked, but I still removed the module and followed StormLrd's instructions to the letter.  The problem remains.

To clarify, the shoutbox shows up fine.  Well, not fine, but it works.  The issue is that I need the shoutbox to be 260px wide, and when I try to make that setting it does not apply it, and I get the error I pasted above.

Also, after reading more code I think I was off in my database querys previously.  Previously I was looking in a table called smf_settings, where I should have been looking at the table named smf_tp_settings.  Under smf_tp_settings, I do indeed see a line for TPAdvShout_opt_1 (also opt_2 and opt_3)

I'm going to re-upload some new files fresh from the download and see if that fixes anything.  I haven't modified anything, but maybe something got borked in the download/install.

I also noticed that I haven't posted what mods I have installed.  I don't think any of these will interfere with what's happening, but for completenes' sake, here's my List'O'Mods:

Should this go in the bugtracker?  I just found out you all had a bugtracker, guess I need to tinker around on these forums more...

Feel free to add this to the bugtracker.

Just make sure to put in as much info you can about the issue, and also what version of the shoutbox your issue show up in. We have 2 shoutboxes in TP V1.0.5, add the correct version to the bugtracker.

I just have to ask you if you have checked the installation of your TP before you add it there ?

Also when you have checked bot the files that needs to be on the server from the TP package, and also the code tht needs to be added to the SMF files, you run the manual_tp_install.php file from your browser and let it update your TP datatables in your database.

If you stil have this issue after doing these 3 steps, then go ahead and add it to the bugtracker,  :up:
