There is a thread on this somewhere. Of joomla user's thinking of converting.

I think you're referring to this thread... already posted in there and will wait for cache-man's reply.  tks xarcell + ichbin!

Good job Bloc ---

I installed and no errors on SMF 1.1RC2 with Helios_multi theme.

But, Why Admin button is showing to all my members ? ... Any way to hide it ?

Thanks  ;)

Xarcell:  There's nothing for me to uninstall.  It never finishes instal, so I'm not given the choice to uninstall anything.

Jeff

Sorry if this has been mentioned before.  You all can reply faster than I can read!  (guess everyone is excited).

What is the order of installation from:
SMF 1.0.5
TP v.0.75

My thought would be upgrade TP first and then  SMF.

If someone can please confirm, it would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Should be easy to do if all you want is the Joomla user db moved over.

I've been running a bridge so I believe all my users are sync'd up between Joomla & SMF.. just need to find a graceful way to say "goodbye" to Joomla!  O0

It shouldn't show to your members I don't think. Check your permissions. You mean a "link" in userinfo, not the actual button at the top right?

IchBin

Jeff, upgrade SMF first, then TP.

bigsimon

I think, just to keep everything simple, I'm going to completely reinstall SMF and TinyPortal, databases and all.  If that doesn't work, I'll send you the login information, IchBinâââ,¬Å¾Ã,¢.

No, is showing in the menu bar ... But, ... Is showing only for old members. You see, I have an account with " no admin privileges " and that user, can see the Admin button on top menu bar.

Thanks for your fast fast reply ;)

Look for this in index.template.php
// Is the user allowed to administrate at all? ([admin])

Copy and paste the next 10 lines or so after that here if you would.
