I updated via package-manager, all went fine but now my Apache segfaults anytime i try to reach my forum

Now try uninstalling previous versions of TP. Then delete. Then install version v.86 of TP.

Hrm.  I didn't have a previous version of TP installed.  Should I delete the v.86 I have installed, then reinstall it?

backing up as I type this - FTPing all the files onto my HD, then will make a SQL database backup. but afraid it's 230am over here so must continue this tomorrow, at work no less.

Yes bigsimon,

But "uninstall" before you delete. If you get an error or "failure" during uninstall, abort.
