Cant view profile or uninstall TP. Majour Problem!!!

Hi there,

Im about to pull the rest of my hair out for a problem i have experienced with Tiny Portal.

I installed SMF 1.1.5, then install TP through the package manager. Everything went well. The only problem now, is that i cant view people profiles (includinig my own), and i cant uninstall TP.

I get a 500 Page error.

Internet Explorer says this error is:

The website cannot display the page  HTTP 500 
   Most likely causes:
The website is under maintenance.
The website has a programming error.

I want to open my forum to the public, but i cant because of this error!!!

I think its a problem with index.php. I need help! Please!

The reason is probably that the package manager didnt work properly, and didnt add the code for tp properly to the smf files.
An easy way is to just check if the code got added to the files with help from the modinstructions in our docsection found here http://docs.tinyportal.co.uk/index.php?topic=139

There you have the files tp must have the code in.
Also the code is listed there.

Check the files and look for the code, if the code is missing, add it in manually- You need to have FTP software and a texteditor to make the edits manually.

Uninstall TP should work through your package manager, if not, you need to replace the files for MSF manually so you get a new set of fresh files with out modifications made in them.

It's hard to check the profile when you didnt apply us with a test account.

But from what can bee seen, it's probably what i said in my first post, your missing code in the profile.php and profile.template.php

If you follow the link i gave, you will see the code you need to check in these 2 files

Uhm, I noticed in load.php that there was a peice of code that was repeated twice. I commented that out, then uninstalled TP. I didnt realise that i didnt backup index.php, but i had one from who knows when. So i renamed it back to index.php and strangely i have TP still + i can view profiles.

So for anyone else having the same problem, go through load.php, and using http://docs.tinyportal.co.uk/index.php?topic=140 , see if there is any repeated code.
