New to TP, insalled but....

I seem to have two index pages.

When logged in all I see is the my forum and welcome page with TP "news" etc, but not forum topics...no blocks etc all are enabled per the TP CP.

When I log out, to view as a messenger, I see all the blocks and forum on the same page.

Did I miss something?

Thanks and so far I love this TP.  Using it on my test site before I go live.

Using SMF 1.1.5, TP  0.9.8

I guess I am most confused as to why I have so many index pages
http://mysiteexample.com/smf/index.php    Logged in as Admin, cannot see forum

I have:
http://mysiteexample.com/smf/index.php?page=welcome   Logged in as Admin, cannot see forum only welcome

And finally as a guest logged out i see
http://mysiteexample.com/smf/index.php   With this url I see the blocks and forum all on one page. 

So you see, I am a tad confused.  My install was to use the admin and upload, and volia it worked. 

Am I missing a step here?

PS, if I was to use the search to find this issue, how would I look for it?  What key words?  I don't know what this problem called besides me being a noob.

Works just fine.
You might want to try and just clear your cache and temp internet files and restart your browser.

Thanks for looking but as a guest it does appear to work.  When I am logged in ad the admin all I see are a welcome page and no forum.

There are only two catagories listed.

test site and welcome: they both show the same thing the "welcome" page with the TP sample news/announcement.

I could show you screen shots if that would help?

Any other ideas?

I should probably tell you that I did install MKPortal here but removed it due to performance issues.  There are no mkportal files left on the FTP site nor in the DB.  Would that be cuasing this isssue?

I have no problme dumping both and starting over.  I just want to get this locked in before I go live
