TinyPortal & custom smf templates conflicts

Hi I need some help. :)I have smf 115 installed and working. I use the Android theme and  i customized header etc. I tried installing tp 105 beta via package manager and got warning error re template.index.php so did not continue install. Then tried other tp version(98... Version.the one prior to 105 beta)and got the same warning and error but installed it anyway and it didnt mess up my forum. The problem Im having is that tp blocks are only visible on the core smf template & babylon theme and not visible on Android custom theme. I then downloaded 2 tp compliant themes from this website: invision and another one. Once again blocks did not show on themes! Any suggestions as to how i can get templates to work with tp?

Please take your time and read the stickies, and also the docs.

You should know that all mods ( including TP as it's a mod to ) only installs to the default core theme.

All other themes ( with TP 098 ) needt to be converted to work with tp after the installation.

If you however upgrade now to tp 1.0.5 you wil only have to add a forum button and everything else should be ok.

ALWAYS install mods with your forum set to ALL defaults and nothing else.

Thanx for yr response. So if i understand you correctly,all i need to do is install tp105 beta and blocks will auto display on custom themes? Could u clarify how to set forum installs to All defaults?  Will it be safe to  ignore warning and error in template.index.php and install tp105beta(as i did with tp098)? Also,should i 1st uninstall 098 before installing 105beta? Sorry for all the questions but im new to tp.

Defaults = Default SMF Core theme And English ISO language

When you have everything working in that setup ( mods, language ) you can start installing your custom themes.

TP V1.0.5 have it's own layer system , you will only have to add the FORUM button to custom themes with that version. But you MUST have everything working with all Defaults first as all mods installs to default core theme only
