Hi,

SMF 1.1 RC1.
Oxygen / TinyPortal v.0.75 by Bloc

I just had a member saying:

QuoteI've got a different problem, I cant seem to access my old PM's anymore. The side display says I have nineteen but only four are displayed when I go to my inbox

I cant seem to figure out this one. He is using the "User Block" shortcut to his inbox:

http://www.federationofkings.com/index.php?action=pm

In the membertable this member has "instantMessages" = 15
In the "smf_pm_recipients" table there's (for this user) 19 rows, 4 of which has the field "deleted" = 1

So...it seems he for some reason only gets to see his messages with "deleted = 1" in "smf_pm_recipients" ???

This happen sometimes..doing a recount of all totals should sort it out.

Thanks!! :)

Followup question regarding the "Forum Maintenance - General Maintenance"

* Optimize all tables to improve performance.
* Check all files against current versions.
* Find and repair any errors.
* Recount all forum totals and statistics.
* Empty out unimportant logs.

Is these explained somewhere ? Frequency for running the different ones ?

resurgence

keep in mind you can also set the board to optimize the tables regularly for you. i have mine set to every 4 days.:)

also, make a routine recount and emptying every week or so.

my $.02 ;)

Hmm...where do I set this auto-optimizing ? I cant seem to find it :(

Should be the same in RC1 as in RC2 i think.

Adminpanel/Serversettings/Coresettings/and here the next step it should be...

ItÂÃ,´s located at the same place as the, Forum name settings, Forum URL settings and your admin email settings.
And it's there you put your forum in maintenence mode aswell.
