I am having a couple of issues that I hope can be resolved without having to reinstall.
The issues are involving articles.

I can make the categories and I can create new articles and put them in whichever category I wish. I went to the "Panels and Blocks". Then I chose Frontpage. I then chose to "Add a frontpage block". I chose to make it an "articlebox". In the next screen I chose "Article Category" as the type. I then choose save so it will give me my article category options, but when the screen refreshes the "Display article listing from category:" dropdown is empty. it does not matter if I add a new category it still will not let me choose.

The second issue with the articles is I decided to just choose single article instead of the category. In the article I had chosen "use intro: yes" because I wanted them to click into the article. Every time I hit save it goes back to "use intro: No" and will not show the intro. I also tried to add comments and ratings, but those tools did not show up. They stay chosen in the options but there is not place to add comments or rate.

If an admin here wants, I will let them into the site with admin access to check it out.

Please help!

Please dont bump a post with in atleast 24 hours. We get to the posts in time.
I will however say THANK YOU!! for putting up your first post the way you did. Clearly a member that found the posting guide and followed it, you just maade my day and now i can turn to bed with a smile.  :)

Your isse can be a few things, i dont know if you have searched, but i think you have, but a pointer to you would be to check the bug reports, and also "article categories" or "article dropdown" can lead you to some of the answers to your issue.

Ok I have done a search for Article catagories and Artical Dropdown but did not see any forum posts that sounded like this issue. I did, however, find a bug report on the intro problem I am experiencing, which can be found here.

I did find a bug report that could be related to the Article Dropdown but it is a bit vague. That report is here. If you would like to see this error yourself, I can tell you how to recreate it in my installation and give you login credentials to take a look. Just let me know and I can PM it to you.

Thanks for the help.

I am having the exact same issue with that error code.

I have a brand new install (1 day old) of SMF 1.1.15 and TP beta.  I have no articles running at all and only use two side panels.
