Keeps giving me the run around, I click send and it changes the menu order.

If you mean the numbers in first column? they will be "re-counted" each time, to make it easy to just move a menu up 2-3 places next time.

Example:

10 menu1
20 menu2
30 menu3
40 menu4 

to move menu4 to between menu1 and menu2, you can either use the arrow buttons - or just type in menu4 box : 15, like this:

10 menu1
20 menu2
30 menu3
15 menu4

now, after pressing send:

10 menu1
20 menu4
30 menu2
40 menu3

What I mean is menu items jump each time you press send, whether you have moved them or not. If you have moved them they can sometimes behave and sometimes not. One that you do not want to move can jump from near the top to near the bottom or vice verca.

This i have to check. It occurs only in menu manager then...or have you seen it in blocks too?

I am only setting up one block ATM, the likes of PHP and Javascript escape me, to act as a menu for a set of information pages.

The site ultimate will allow dicussion of group related issues in the forum, the calender will allow future events to be posted and when, as indicated, you include a gallery (puts me on cloud 9 if you can) we will be able to show pictures of the events.

I think I remember this happening. Try setting the numbers 10,20,30 etc instead of clicking the little arrow.

I did end up deleting the categories and re-entering them, it was OK for a while, but then went unpredictable again.

A couple of thoughts, does the number of items in the menu cause the hiccup? I have 11 items in the menu

I got the menu to the correct order by just clicking the send to see what happened, each time the order changed, after about 5 or 6 clicks the order appeared OK.

So I left it alone.

Its not bulletproof..I will do some intensive tests to see where it goes wrong.
