I have been happily running on stable versions of SMF and TP for months.

Overnight my forum has stopped working. I now getting nothing but a blank page if I try to goto index.php or any previously visited forum pages.

None of my files have changed. I have been through and restored the files from a backup a week ago anyway but no joy.

The sql tables all look present and correct and I have checked them all and they are ok.

I have run repair_settings.php and checked paths and settings. No joy.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

My searches for this have led me to people trying to upgrade which is something I have not done or fresh installs which this is not.

http://www.mystic-daggers.net/forum2/index.php will take you to the site. Please note that if you dont include the index.php bit you will be redirected to a temporary forum.

Cheers.

If the files have been working, you haven't changed anything, and they suddenly stop working, the only possibility is that something changed with your server. I would contact the admin.

Yep I submitted a ticket this morning and no reply yet. I have been digging through email and found an email from them about a month back saying

Quote
Due to the recent iframe injection attacks ( this exploit allow the hacker to inject certain code to your website and when other users or yourself access the website, the user will be infected by this trojan)
on 2 of our servers, we have with immediate effect disabled the following PHP commands : system, passthru, popen, proc_open, shell_exec, exec on all servers until further notice or as when a bug fix is released

I am just about to try installing a fresh copy of SMF to see if that works

Ah must be a server issue. I have just installed plain 1.14 in a new directory and DB and get the same thing.

Looks like it is the waiting game for a reply from my host. I was thinking hacks and all sorts oh well.

I was told to try this, rename index.php~ to index.php and see if that works, back up those 2 files first though.

What you should be doing is seeking help from Simple Machines since this is a forum issue.
