Problem with shoutbox...can anyone help?

Hey all, i am using the shoutbox that comes with TP and have had np with it till now...

My web supplier has changed to a new server which meant me changing nameservers which wasn't a prob but they seem to have taken a backup of my site them when they moved puut my site back up again.
Since then the shoutbox will not let anyone post on it. They all get the same error...

I don't know if its something that hasn't been registered properly when they started my site up again on their new server.....

It sounds like some permissions got changed in SMF/TP during the server change. I cannot help you with it, I am just pointing it out.

is it possible to reinstall tp over the install that i have without disturbing the databases that i have so that any permissions will be reset to their proper settings?

Yes, even if i dont think it will solve your 406 issue as it's the host that needs to change the permissions.
But try to manually upload the TP files and then make sure the TP code got added correctly to the SMF files.
If the code are missing, you have to manually add the strings to the SMF files according to the modinstructions in the doc section.

The DB will not be broken or erased during that process
