Fatal Error

I screwed up...

I was getting multiple errors in the SMF error log regarding the shoutbox.

I checked "Support for Ultimate Shoutbox" in the settings and suddenly got a big Orange Banner on the top of my browser window:

You have turned on support for Ultimate Shoutbox, but it doesn't seem the mod is actually installed!

With an error message in the mainframe:

Shoutbox

Fatal error: Call to undefined function smfshout() in /home/thequeen/www/forum/Sources/Load.php(1737) : eval()'d code on line 351

I have no functions at all... How do I turn it off???

How are you using this?  In a php block...More info needed

First:
For those Bloc themes that support various mods... DO NOT turn on support for any of them unless you actually have that mod already installed.
BTW... what theme are you using?

Try adding "?theme=1" to the end of your web address to see if that will get you into the SMF Default theme and then fix your issue.

I am using a modified (style.css & index.template.php mostly) version of the Tolkien TP Theme.

We still haven't addressed the original issue.

If you turn Tolkien TP back on without first turning off support for the Ultimate Shoutbox you'll be back to where this all started. You can not use or activate a mod unless it is actually installed and if you use some function to call a mod that is not installed chances are good that you'll get an error message as in the case of your first post.
