I am trying to insert a new article or modify an existing one with the FCKEditor.
But when I click on "ADD HTML" instead of the box of FCKEditor see a window with the "NEWS" TP who gets from administration panel.
Same thing on  "INTRO TEXT.

What is happening?

If imposed as editor "No" or "WhizzyWig" everything worked properly.

Thanks to all
Nicola

HTML and WYSIWYG editors don't play nice together, the editor inserts it's own formatting, line breaks etc and messes the code up.

Use the editor when you need to, and switch off when using HTML and code.

my problem is from the beginning when I try to create a new article.
Instead of the box of FCKeditor appears a box with inside another TP page!

when I try to modify an existing one, instead of the box of FCKeditor appears a box with inside another TP page but if I click on the "save" button, then appears the correct box with FCKeditor and so, I can really modify Article

p.s.
sorry for my bad english, I hope you understand

Hi

Sorry for hopping on this thread but I have the identical problem to Nicola and thought my experience might help lead to a solution.

Quote from: Nicola BardelliI am trying to insert a new article or modify an existing one with the FCKEditor.
But when I click on "ADD HTML" instead of the box of FCKEditor see a window with the "NEWS" TP who gets from administration panel. Same thing on  "INTRO TEXT. If imposed as editor "No" or "WhizzyWig" everything worked properly.

What appears in both the article's main window and intro text window is the top few inches of the admin page that I'm viewing as I'm adding or editing an article.  (To help explain this and so you might see yourself what we are talking about, if you edit a theme's style sheet your site is displayed in the top window in an identical fashion)   As Nicola noted, if I click the save button without changing anything (or even after doing something like changing the category) then all is well and the editor appears as normal.  Otherwise, you can't access the editor.

Thinking it might be a permissions problem, I also searched the FCKeditor Forum but couldn't find any reference to this particular problem.  As Nicola said, it worked perfectly using SMF 1.1.4 with Tiny Portal 098.  The only mod that I have installed is Tiny Portal 1.052.

Hope this helps narrow down the problem.
