can anyone comment which is better. SMF 1.0.5 or RC 1 or 2

If any advantages or disadvantagesÂÃ,  ?

I'm sure 1.1RC2  ;D newest = best  ^-^

That is slightly unfair as RC versions are still 'in development' ÂÃ, ;)

From an admins viewpoint 1.1 is much better than 1.0, though I wasn't unhappy with 1.0, that was streets ahead of the other board software we tried. I'm not going to try to list all the things I like about about 1.1.

The most obvious difference between RC1 and RC2 is the NDT. I like RC2 NDT the most now. Having now had time to look 'under the hood' of the tabbed themes, I have changed my initial view that it was nice as a theme, but .... to the extent that on our test site we have gone for all tabbed themes, 13 colourways in all.

I like the low graphics overhead, the 'buttons' being attached to something and the reduction in the space required for them. We had already run into space problems with the number of buttons on view to an admin. It is easy to make readability better on the tabs for peeps with sight problems, by changing colour and/or size of the font, that is one reason for the large number of colourways, we have some colourblind members and a few old fogies.

Thats was really nice to read. ;D

It was exactly the goal too..making it tighter on space, less buttons and more customable with the "tabs" style being put in the stylesheet.
