Is it possible to change the posts on the frontpage? etc.

I've changed how the posts looks in the forums but I've been unable to change the posts on the frontpage, I'm not sure where to find it. (can anyone point me in the right direction?)
It's also important for me that the articles won't change as well, and instead of going to the Reply page when commenting on a post on the front page i would like it to redirect to quick reply on the bottom of the page (since my forum only uses the reply page for starting threads and changing posts).

I also wonder if it possible to show what Forums it's from, I'm using two kind of news, personal news and site news, so i would like to show what's what somehow.

And last but not least, is it possible to hide the left sidepanel when opening a category of articles?

(If this is in the wrong forum or anything else is wrong, it's unintentional)

The only way you'll be able to change the appearance of posts is to manually edit the TPortal.template.php file. Actually everything you asked for will require editing the files.

Except for the panel question. You can turn the panel off for each article
in the category.

Okay, that's not a problem, that's how i changed the post in the forums. manually changing, that is. i don't think I've changed anything in the TPortal.template.. I'll go and take a look at that, however i guess i need some kind of variable added to show the forums name? And I don't know the variable for that.

Yes, that I've realized, and that I've done, but i would like it to hide it when viewing the category as well, not just the articles. I've already turned it off for each article in the category.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

IchBin

Currently there is no setting to turn it off like you want with categories.

Innocenzia

Okay, thank you. :) Then i don't have to search for it.

Is there a certain variable i should use for the Forum names to show up on frontpage? I've tried but it didn't work.

IchBin

I don't think there is a variable. You'll need to add that to a SQL call in TPortal.php for it I suppose.

Yes its not an easy thing. Sorry, but I don't have the time to figure out where an what you need to do for you.

Ah, that's okay... thank you so much for your help at least. :) And if you accidentally stumble upon a solution, feel free to let me know.  ;D
