I wanted to become an SMF charter member...but is it worth it?
Anybody here one?

tick

I think so.  I really dont use any of the extras that you get but I find it nice to be able to give back to the community that gives so much to us.  So in that sense I say yes.

That is something that is totally up to you. Remember, becoming a Chart Member is about donating to SMF. Technically you're not paying SMF for anything. They just happen to give Beta's and priority support as a benefit for you donating.

I have to agree with Tick and Ich here....  I try to support as many of these type projects as possible.  Yea, getting an early look at the beta is nice, but more important is having a beta out there showing continued progress and improvement.  I have seen to many good projects die out because of lack of funding and support.  It is not cheap to do any of what they do...

I don't really need the support.
I just want to help them with furthering their software.

Because everyone here, loves SMF. :D

Sounds great but what do you get to do?
I know you get to beta test..but can you also put your ideas up?

I think I'll buy it after I'm done with my current website design job and get paid. =D

Dragooon

Yes, there are private charter member boards.
