AUTOMATIC WELCOME PM?

Hi I have looked at SMF forums website and forums and I havent found this yet but does anyone here know about a mod that allows you to setup an:

Automatic Welcome PM that will be sent to new members once they join?

It's really outside of what we do as we only support and develop TinyPortal, thats not to say that people here don't make mods for SMF but the best place to ask is SMF.. but you've already asked there. I'm surprised nobody has made one yet.

There is a Welcome Topic mod which posts a new topic when a new member activates their account. It's in the SMF downloads somewhere, it works well as you can edit the welcome mesage to include the new members name and create a selection of random topics.

i have it on my site and yes it does do the pm or post, or email too i think?? it is all how you set it up.. if you need further help, just post back 

i have found the post is much better, that way all my members can see we have new members to meet and greet, but that is up to you, your site

The Welcome Topic moddoes not allow PM it will only post a new topic in a selected board

I never said you broke rules. I was just pointing out that what is being asked is not something to do with TinyPortal. Its for SMF, therefore the discussion for this topic should be moved there.
