Hey guys,
I have been getting some weird errors in my logs after trying to upload a file to my tp file manager. The only thing I just installed was the smf arcade. I search the forum but couldn't find anything. It's more than one error, but here are two.

2: move_uploaded_file(/home/xxx/public_html/tp-images/Image/1202936065orangegloss.jpg) [<a href='function.move-uploaded-file'>function.move-uploaded-file</a>]: failed to open stream: Permission denied
File: /home/xxx/public_html/Sources/TPdlmanager.php
Line: 192

2: move_uploaded_file() [<a href='function.move-uploaded-file'>function.move-uploaded-file</a>]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpdslPb7' to '/home/xxx/public_html/tp-downloads/orangegloss.zip'
File: /home/xxx/public_html/Sources/TPdlmanager.php
Line: 188

Almost everytime there is a permission denied error, you have file and folder permission errors.
From the error it seems like the files cant be moved from one folder to another on your server.
Make sure you have the correct file and folder permissions and also the correct owner permissions.

ok,
Were do I check for my permissions?

On your server you have your site on.
To learn about permissions and ownership for files and folders you have a great doc site on www.simplemachines.org

At SMF there's a good topic on this in the Docs I think.

Search for "how do I use chmod?" or something like that.

netridge

ah you mean chmoding, I was sure if you meant the tp settings or chmod. I will look it up thanks.
