We have a site using smf,

Since our current portal sucks, i tried some ssi.

And people said, if you want to use SSI , use tinyportal,(you know they say its best on SSI, i dont even sure if there is another portal using SSI).

To test i copied my forum to my localhost and installed Tinyportal, its working perfectly without any errors.

BUT forum is located at

www.tr3dgs.com/forum

i think that if i install TP to this site, tp will be at www.tr3dgs.com/forum/index.php

as you can guess, i want the site to be accessible directly from www.tr3dgs.com/index.php

is there any way to this, without using a redirection, or without moving forum?

You cant have the postal in one dir and SMF in another, TP is a mod and are totally wraped inside the SMF and it's functions, so it needs to be installed in the same dir as the forum to work.

Just install TP to your forum and make a redirect to the root instead of moving everything

IchBin

IMO, its just as easy to move the forum, then run repair_settings.php from SMF. But that is just my opinion:)

Lord Anubis

Since you are using MKportal you could just bypass MKportal and have it go directly to the forum (I have it done on one of my sites), there is help on the MKportal site if you want to accomplish this.

But, it is easier just to move the forum and run the repair settings tool like Ichbin said

i didnt know about that repair_settings.php, :D gonna give it a try on localhost and then move the site.

Thank you guys.

quadraxas

you mean repairboards? i couldnt find the repair_setttings.php

im gonna do it manually(its just the forum path on settings.php and theme paths right??)

quadraxas

thank you guys. site is now a TP site !
