problem with the "first page" topics from forum

hey, first of all im so sorry if i have shouldn`t sent here this massege
also im sorry becouse my english is not so clear .

i think u are the support team so , i want to ask u somthing

i have smf 1.1.4 and tp0.98 now to the problem

when i choosed that i want that in my first page appears a topics from spicfy forum, I chosed style C from the "first page sittings"

i choosed more than 5 topics to be viewed , and so it is , but the problem was the way it views the articles , take a look :



the other topics continue after the topic in the left side to the botoum and the right side still empty to the end of the page .

i shortly i want the topics to be view like that    "::" (every dot is  a topic)

can u help please ??? and i will be so greatfull to u

I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is something that Bloc has worked out for TP 1.0. There is quite a few problems with the frontpage layout options, and Bloc is really working hard to have them all fixed for the next release. Hopefully that release isn't that far off.

As IchBin said, the display options on the frontpage in TP V098 are limited to the layout he made for it.
The reason is simple, the articles list in the left column first, and when it have filled the space, it continue to the right column.
If you set it to show atleast 6 it will fill that space on the right column.

i dont know how but i hva succed to do it !!
now every thing is perfect (::) all the topics are togther

i have limited to 6 topic and 3000 chart for every one

and chooed style D !! now its looks perfectly

I think that the topic which caused your problem just disappeared from the frontpage by setting the limit to 6.

I had the same problem over and over again. This problem only shows in MS Internet Explorer NOT in Firefox! Internet Explorer messes up the tables somehow.

I just found out that in my case this problem is caused by tables in a post. I post tables quite often. The solution I found is to put a normal line of text (for example a repeat of the subject line) just before starting a table, so just before the (table) code. Problem solved in my case :)
