I imagine there are plenty of people like me that wish they had more of a clue when it comes to html/css/php. I know a lot more than when I first arrived here that is for sure, but as far as ever authoring anything==forget it/as of now.

If I spent more time studying and less time looking around for ways to learn I would be an expert

I thought that I would inform the group on some new products that are just now becoming available. 1 is a website editor the other is a phpcoder/editor which has not been released yet, but will be next month--beta.
and finally a new css video tutorial on basics and layout that is second to none.It is not so basic either.. I have just downloaded it and it looks great

1] http://www.tsware.net/webcoder.php  fantastic webpage type editor with plenty of php features. I have mentioned this one before..It is fantastic

2] http://www.tsware.net/blog/category/phpcoder/   not released yet, but looks promising for php coders everywhere  [as if I know] some preview videos available

3] http://howtomastercss.webdesignboost.com/  little popup window at the bottom right takes you to the page.

The last one is currently going for 1/2 price [till the end of the year] and I believe, based on the previews and what I have looked at so far, it is an exellent product. There is a money back guarantee so what do you have to lose really..You will not want your money back....

May be of interest to some rookie themers, like crip, here :2funny:

The Guy has a knack for teaching. He's got that funky Holland accent :coolsmiley: No cursors flying all over the place either---if you know what I mean.Very well thought out and presented in an easy to understand way...

BTW folks I get nothing for saying this===O==zero==no$$$$$at all

I just like to pass along usefull info to my friends here and other places.

I hope it is ok to post this---I don't see why not...

Edit before I post

I just downloaded the css stuff--it was $39.50

I never got so much for $39.50.

You do not have to download it though. after you but it you are given access to a page /account where you can view the info anytime at all--from any computer

So far I am impressed with the huge amount of info there is.It will take a while to look at, but when I am done I will be better off for it.

Once again incased you missed it I make no money from this at all....

very nice, superQ..

i have the bluementals?? set for php, html, and css, along with the lydia.com tutorials, on just about anything you can imagine.. it helps to look around, tho, if you are as broke as me because Santa wiped out the bank acct  :D ;)

superQ

I don't know If I can ever really grasp the php stuff fully I mean--I mean bloc will never be pming me for support--or should I put up one of those don't pm me things.

I just thought that some people around here may have other sites that are not tp and that css tutorial could really in handy. It is fresh to say the least--very good really.

I think the lynda.com stuff can be gettin a little old. Like when i see the editor they use and it is like 10 versions ago or the php is php4 and the video was from 2003.

The guy [Hilco Van De Meer]who has the css stuff is working on some new php videos--I like his style of teaching and the freshness [like you must be :2funny:] of the material, and the price is right...

:2funny: :2funny: :2funny: i use him to put me to sleep superQ.. osmosis while dreaming  :2funny:

but you are right, and i think that the best tool is probably google.. if you do not know something, google it.. chances are, it will show up.. and i think it just depends on the person, on how far, and what measures to go, to learn something on their own.. self learning is hard, unless you are motivated enough.. desire is the main thing on why people want to build websites to begin with.. and with the high expectations of what you can get out of your site, it pays to see everything.. if you dont ask, how will you learn?? if you don't share, how will you expand your knowledge.. my way might be ok for me, but if i listen to others, they might just have a better idea.. i do try.. now weather it sinks in lmao  :D ;) and no, im not a blonde.. just a redhead..  :D

Hey SuperQ, I hope you are on commission because this stuff rocks.  It is exactly what I was after - You can read the stuff in a book but to have someone show you is heaps better.

Cheers
Dog
