Anyone have any ideas how to fix or explain to me what I am doing wrong? I just installed the latest version of SMF, patched to 1.1.4.

Installed the latest version of TP, and other than the theme I want to use is bugged and doesn't work well with TP, everything is fine.  I then try to click on the Forum tab at the top, and notice it isn't there...

I weasel in via Messages, and there is now a blank tab at the top where Forums should be, but no link or anything, nothing.

Has anyone else seen this?

Is there a home tab showing up as well? Is your forum showing up under that?

The home tab seems to work fine, TP home page is there and working, but no forum  - see the above posted image I just added :)

There is a visible space, that indicates that a Forum tab should be there like it knows somethign should be there, but doesn't have info to fill in.  Very odd.

Ken.

A link to your site would be good spaceseed.  ;)

Also, if you take a look in the Docs section for install issues and do a search for the same you will most likely find the info that you need because this question has been covered many times.

You couldn't have been more right.  Default language setting was english-utf8... changed to english and it worked.

Thank you for beating me over the head with the stupid bat =D

Actually I would never do that... well almost never.  ;)
JFYI... we don't mind answering your questions, thats why we're here on the TP Team, but it's also true that just about any question that you can come up with has already been answered dozens if not 100's of times.  :coolsmiley:

Awesome! Yeah, I have been really trying hard over the past few days to find a new solution for my community - that was fresh, and fun.  It is game oriented, ie World of Warcraft, and SMF was perfect, and when I found TP, it was the perfect fit!

The biggest issue I am trying to overcome right now, is finding a theme that looks decent/feels right for the game for the site.

I guess it is common =D I found what I thought was perfect, it was a wow based theme, but it doesn't work well with TP for some reason =/ So, the search is on, TP is a must for me now that I have seen what it provides :)

Thanks again.

Ken.

With themes you must use TP enabled themes and not SMF themes... however, some themes are written to work with both.

When you go to download a theme be sure it is one that will work with TP, some dl pages have two dl's, one for the SMF version and one for the TP version.
