Hi, I have downloaded TP v0.9.8 but don't have a clue how to install it. I have got free wosting with FTP etc on byethost.

Please can someone help me I don't have a clue.

Thanks in advance.

James M

I forgot to say, I also have SmartFTP Client

Dragooon

First you need SMF installed(I am sure you have :P)
Now Once you have download TP Go to Admin > Packages and Upload it and install it like any other Mod.
If everything is fine, you got your New TP/SMF Combo.

See Packages To know more about packages

James M

is it supposed to take ages to upload smf 1.1.4 to my ftp?

am I doing this right? I have:
made a new directory called forum
I am now waiting for SMF to upload to it?

Then after that, do I just install TP to SMF? I might need some help doing that, never installed anything onto SMF before, and this is my first time making a forum.

It takes me around 30 mins to upload SMF but I have a slow internet connection.

After installing SMF it is usually very easy to install TP with the package manager located in the Admin section of the SMF forum.

I prefer to install it all in the root directory myself, thats because it is both my website+forum.

James M

help :( uploaded SMF to my FTP in a directory called forum.

followed the steps and went to "mydomain"/forum and it brings up a pop up to this page -

Questions about problems when installing SMF need to be asked in the SMF forums, not here.

Sorry!

James M
