Maybe your host don't allow the package manager to work right. Then you have to do it manually - look at the tinyportal06.mod file and apply the changes, then use the supplied SQL file to insert the tables through PHPMyAdmin.

But what version of SMF are you using?

Powered by SMF 1.0.2.

It should work fine then. Take a look at Load.php in Sources folder, if it contain any "Tiny Portal" strings, it HAS been patched. If not, then the packagemanager don't work correctly.

Also check index.php in root folder of forum for the same thing, and index.template.php in Themes/default/

I just upgraded to V0.6beta and everyting seems to go fine!
except for this problem I have but it was there since v0.4beta so I made a new thread about it.

Currently ruuning SMF v1.03 and upgraded for 0.5b to version 0.6b. Upgrade went well but failed to change the index.template due to a few mod's being installed.

Nothing major.

I'm getting the following error for every page I open:

Any ideas? I had a similar problem with a theme that ended up being an uninitialized option, but I'm not sure where to start with this one.

This is on a fresh 1.03 with no mods, default template.

Installed 0.6beta full install on 1.03 and I have the following mods already installed before 0.6beta:

Ultimate Shoutbox      1.22     
2.    TinyPortal    0.6    
3.    Message Icon Manager    1.2    
4.    OnLine Users Today    1.3
5.    G&S_Sticky    1.1
6.    SSI NewsArchive    1.3

But after installing tinyportal 0.6 I get this error on line #27:

.thems/default.index.template.php-Failure

Couple of points to report

1) The footer still shows 0.5beta

In Articles....

2) HTML rendering much improved, not sure how much yet 

3) BB code doesn't render at all, just get a page with all the code visible

To Eric's point about the failuire to change the index.template the reason behind the failure is the mod's installed.

Before upgrading any mod like Tiny Portal most people either unload the mod's they have installed or carry the changes to the template files themselves because often a mod upgrade will fail to change the index.template file.

Try uninstalling your mods then carrying your updates or making the changes to the template files yourself.
