Recent articles in html block?

Is there anyway to display a recent articles list in a html block?

No, because it requires PHP to do it. The code snippet has already been done in a PHP block, so why do you ask for HTML?

On a side note, please read the stickies in each board before you post. There's a reason we have stickies. The one in this board states that the block code snippets board is NOT for support. Moving your thread now....

As for why html? I have the 'new' version of the yahoo tabbed snippet and would like to make one of the tabs as recent articles (w/catergory dependent options) I thought it could handle php but I tried it and it doesnt work. Must only be for the first version (that had 1st tab problems)
