Here is the error i got after installing a packadge

Template Parse Error!
There was a problem loading the /Themes/default/BoardIndex.template.php template or language file. Please check the syntax and try again - remember, single quotes (') often have to be escaped with a slash (\). To see more specific error information from PHP, try accessing the file directly.

You may want to try to refresh this page or use the default theme.

I installed a karma description packadge, I just want it fixed, any way I can manually go in and fix it? Where do I need to go and what do I need to edit.

I know I sound needy, but search didn't come up with anything for this specific error, and I'm being put in a very bad position with a dead website.

Any help helps!

Btw I saved my SQL database not too long ago, but I'm not sure what contains in it, I tried restoring it, and that didn't fix it.

Ideally i'd like to reinstall the SMF with the new version and TP (i had problems with the template so TP wouldnt install) but keep my members and posts and boards. If i can just reinstall and keep everything I'd do that!

Please? Thank you, Vlad

If somebody knows how to fix this and can do it for me quick, i'd even pay for it.

Replace your boardindex.template.php file with a new one, that will bring up the forum again

Also this shows just how important it is to make backups before you make any changes.

Where can I get a new file from? I thought all those files are very strictly watched to not be distributed.

Just replace it entirely on my FTP server I would assume?

I'm so bare bones computer knowledge it's sad, 5 Years ago after taking a programming class I have told myself I'd never be a programmer and went into Accounting field instead.

Thank you sincerely for a very prompt reply.

Yes I will value backups even more then ever now.

Ken.

vovchandr, a good place to start would be the Doc's sections here and over on SMF... that will help you to work out a lot of these issues on your own.

The file is in the SMF package that you downloaded from SMF, just unzip it and find the required file and then upload it to your server.

Thank you greatly.

The support is amazing, and I see myself being a member of here for a long time to come.
